Slave and The Master

This is a song from rapper Nas which is tittled slave and the master.
this song is about how we are today and what are ancestors went through for us to get to this point and he feels that we don't appreciate what was done for us.

[Chorus:]

They say we N – I - Double G – E – R

We - are - much more,

Still we choose to ignore,

The obvious.

Man this history don't acknowledge us,

We was scholars long before colleges.

They say we N – I - Double G – E – R

We - are - much more,

But still we choose to ignore,

The obvious.

We are the slave and the master,

What you looking for'

You the question and the answer.

[Verse 1:]

We trust no black leaders,

Use the stove to heat us,

Powder eggs and government cheeses,

The calendar was Martin, JFK, & Jesus,

Gotta be fresh

Go to school with fly sneakers.

Schools with outdated books,

We are the forgotten,

Summers coolin' off by the fire hydrant.

Yeah I'm from the ghetto,

Where old black women talk about they sugar level,

It's not unusual,

To see photos of dead homies' funerals,

Aluminum foil on t.v. antennas

Little TV sit on top the big TV eatin TV dinners,

Girls die they hair with kool-aid,

They gave us lemons we made lemonade,

But this nigga's paid,

Ancestry of slaves,

Descendant of Kings

It's necessary I,

Bling,

Puts rings on every thing

Where Timbs on every scene.

[Chorus]

[Verse 2:]

Do I mean it like a slave master'

NIGGER!

No!

I'm gangsta

Gotta eat rappers!

My abbreviation

Was young when I caught the cases,

That should mean the court could see my changes

Take off the bracelets,

Savage when broke,

Smoke sour diesel

Need no Bo-flex

My chest still cut-up like a bag of dope,

Thought patterns consist of boss matters,

Spit Moses' "Lost Commandments"

Like a gross sandwich out my mouth.

Toast to government cameras

Peepin us every week

I must have my cars homes & phones

Squeaked for bugs,

But this is what I was dreamin of,

Between cutting hard coke with new razors

Slicing my fingers up,

They use to string us up,

We wanted everything,

But the one bringing us cake be the snakes

Like the...

Like the New Jack City wedding scene

No time for mistakes trying to get it like [' ]

[Chorus]

[Verse 3:]

My nig...

Whattup my nig'

People afraid of criticism

But I always put myself in a sacrificial position!

They been know I ain't just rappin for fame,

I got my old homie [' ] the father asking for change!

Yep! I'd give this cash up

This paper don't matter

They seen me from skinny to fatter

When I rap about war,

They got the tendency to scatter,

They ain't my backup no more,

So now my enemies are at my front door,

Cause any time we mention

Our condition, our history or existence,

They calling it reverse racism,

Still till today the street's torn,

My brother Jungle always have a seat for 'em

Not behind me - beside me

You'll always know where to find me,

They say the close ones will hurt you,

So let's keep a small circle,

On the road to riches, and diamond rings

In the land of the blind

The man with one eye is the king.

[Chorus]

N.i.g.g.e.r. (the Slave And The Master) (Nas)

From Nas's new album, Untitled)

I agree with this song because we sometimes don't appreciate what has been done for us because we bring each other down physically, mentally and emotionally and this is wrong because back in the slave times we had to stick together for us to survive. Its been a lot of deaths in theses schools and we are killing our own people.
I feel we should go back to where we sing, cry, and laugh together.

These two tie together because we are the slave and the masters
sometimes I wanna run away be a ghost like casper.
Life is flying right past us,
My black people we could be anything, even teachers and pastors.
The question is how? and we are the answers.

Cheat on You.

When I was younger I was always taught that men weren't suppose to show their feelings.

"I'm not saying your wrong just wasn't right for me
I'm having mixed-emotions, its like I'm on the ocean.
Because I'm thinking and peeking,
tryna get to know your Vicki Secrets but you keeping It concealed.
Tryna make you reveal and make you say whats real,
Its like I'm on a Hill with nothing to feel but you.
I'm tryna stay true, but I cheated on you.
Its about two, and I'm feeling blue
I should of gave it a chance, but my mind was only on one thing,
and I was tryna get in your pants, I never made plans.
I just gotta take a stand as a man, and realize you was my number one fan.
I understand that you want a new man, its like I'm in quick sand.
Because I keep sinking...........

This is a song a wrote entitled "cheat on you", which is about a man who is expressing his feeling to the girl he cheated on. This goes back to what I was taught because I always was taught that men weren't supposed to show there feelings, I questioned that and thats what inspired me to write this songs which is about a man who is so in love that he express his feelings to a girl he cheated on.

Music In Troubadour

Music in Troubadour's are mostly love songs and a lot of my favorite artist do a lot of love songs. I am a musician myself and most of my songs are about love and actual things that happen to me in my life. Because I feel that the truth is the best things you could tell in the music industry that is mostly full of lies.

"Yeah I know we had our ups and downs
I'm just tryna turn your frown into smile.
So lets make it worth your while,
I know I once was a child, but I'm proud
to be your man and no one can love you like I can,
I'm wanna make it all well
I wanna be like Barack and Michelle
and you have to understand that I'm a male and i do what males do,
and I'm tryna tell you...
That I can show and improve
I know you feel used I gotta find the right tools,
to put this love back together,
because its more than four letters
I promise I'll do better and let them keep Hatin'
I can be Omar you could be Sanna Lethen
and I won't abuse it, so I can it Love & Music
and I was Clueless and Foolish
Because this relationship I can't lose it
I know I'm new to this But I was Ludacris
to think it was more than you that I can get
so get over it....

This is a Troubadour because its a direct command. I'm rapping it as if I'm right in front of her. I am expressing my love for this girl, and I am also telling her to forgive and forget, because I'm not perfect and I know I messed up and I regret doing what I did.

Music Is Life

Music is my life it is the only art that I love, it keeps me fit for business.
Music makes me cry, music make me laugh, sometimes I feel like I'm music.
Since music is art I am the brush that paints it. If music comes from the heart I'm the blood that keeps it going. Sometimes I feel that music is the only one that understands me. Even when I'm not function and in tip top shape i can bench as much as music weights.

Music is sail to my boat I have fun writing and recording music in my free time .
Music is my first love, if music was a woman i would be married to it.
I care about music a lot I can sit here and talk about it all day, but I'd rather show you that music is my life in my work ethics and in my songs, if it was a way I could do music forever I would.
Music is an art so it will live in forever even when I'm gone, but I want to live forever through music. I want to be a musician and it is an honor to be a part of such a great art as music.

Greek art is a very prestigious art, its one of an kind you have to be very unique to be a part of Greek art. Greek art is prejudiced against the perfect body. I feel like everyone is like a model in their own way, and what i mean by that is that everyone models what they believe in does it beautifully. Greek art wants you to have a certain face, body, etc..,. Greek art is mostly nude because they want to show you what they believe to be the perfect body.

Greek art is sort of like a diamond because its believed to be flawless.
Greek art was like a million dollars to them, since money couldn't buy happiness art would. To the Greek's, their art was like seeing your Son graduate high school or better yet college that was the feeling they got when they saw art.
Greek's believed that art was skin deep like a tattoo. they also believe that art comes from the soul or even deeper than that.
Greek art was beyond beauty , beyond of what was called the perfect body.

Music to me was art to Greek's, the word art had a deeper meaning in those days. Just to be a part of such an art like the Greek's was an honor because people views you as being perfect. Greek art was in an whole world by itself, the Greek's took the world art to a whole different meaning.
